If you want to be certified for the Six Sigma Green Belt you need to fulfil some conditions. First of all you have to have at least 3 years work experience. The candidate for the Six Sigma Green Belt must work under the surveillance of the Six Sigma Black Belt college. This candidate needs also to analyse and solve special problems connected with quality and projects development. You should also show your willingness and knowledge regarding working with the Six Sigma operations and processes.
The exam for the Six Sigma Green Belt has a written form and consists of 100 questions. The duration of this exam is 4 hour and the questions are multiply-choiced. The Green Belt exam you may pass only in English language.
You can pass the Six Sigma Green Belt exam twice a year: in the middle of the year – in June and at the end of the year – in December. They are conducted by local or regional ASQ departments or international institutions. During the exam you need to have your own reference materials and calculator.
One thing woth mentioning is that you do not need to be certified by the Six Sigma Green Belt if you want to apply for the Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
