Variations of the Six Sigma

In statistics reproducibilities and variations are connected with each other. We can give you an example of this situation: when the variation rises the production falls down in the case of increasing number of defects that can occur. Supplementary things like: man-power, costs, life cycle limit the level of the sigma where these variations derive from creations, processes and final products. All in all the sigma limits satisfaction of the consumers and influence in a negative way on profit what is one of the main interests of the Six Sigma.

It could cause lots of problems to make an operation aiming at changing three sigma to Six Sigma. You need to carry out several operations and processes if you want to achieve Six Sigma (from three sigma to Six Sigma level). The picture below shows the relationship between sigma level and number of defects.

On the picture above we can notice that at the Six Sigma level nearly all products are free from any defects. Standard and quality of such products is very high and they meet the customer needs all over the world. Costs of production are minimized and all processes are optimized to achieve the best results. As you can also notice that the Six Sigma is much better than three sigma, not twice but 20 000 times so this is the significant and noticeable improvement.
